Off-grid PV system: it’s a self-sufficient PV power supplied system that is electrically isolated from the grid-system. In this system it is necessary to store the solar energy produced by photovoltaic modules in order to ensure service continuity of utilities. For this purpose it is customary to use electric accumulators, such as lead-acid batteries. The use of solar electricity is delegated to a suitable charge controller which adapts the electric parameters of PV modules to the charge of the battery bank, it controls charge levels and supplies energy to the utilities, typically in low voltage of 12V or 24V DC. If there are loads power supplied in AC, It is necessary to use DC/AC inverters having a specific frequency and output voltage, such as the European standard 50Hz 230VAC.
