PV STREET LAMPS FOR PUBLIC ROADS
Pv Street lamps allow to create lighting systems by exploiting solar Energy in areas that are not connected to the grid systems. Such systems are self-powered with Pv modules and they are suitable for the lighting of provincial roads, rural and suburban areas.
Western CO. street lamps, completely certified, are composed of:
- monocrystalline Pv modules;
- INOX ( stainless steel ) top of pole mounting structure;
- Sealed / GEL batteries ( normally put on the top of pole );
- Western CO. electronics with MPPT algorithm;
- Flux reduction;
- 18W, 26W 36W SOX-E lamp ( low pressure sodium ) according to the latitude of installation;
Several installations, either in Italy or abroad, witness the reliability of Western CO. PV street-lamp that has been tested also by important Research Institutes as the National Institute of Nuclear Physics of Gran Sasso.
Amoung the advantages we remember that the Pv street lamp does not need electric energy from the grid system since Energy comes exclusively from sunlight; it is stored during the day and delivered during night. From the environment point of view we remember that each KWh that is produced by PV source allows to avoid the emission in the atmosphere of 0,3 - 0,5 Kg of CO2 ( gas responsible for the green house effect ).
In its own product range Western CO. studied and introduced systems for the remote control of PV street lamps either radio or GSM. In this way you can have a complete system diagnostics directly through the radio control ( radio version ) or through a proper software by the PC ( GSM version ) thus eliminating all costs and time necessary fot a technical intervention on the PV street lamp.
